COME HOLY SPIRIT

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit didst instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by that same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

44 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in a field. Which a man having found, hid it, and for joy thereof goeth, and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.  45 Again the kingdom of heaven is like to a merchant seeking good pearls.  46 Who when he had found one pearl of great price, went his way, and sold all that he had, and bought it.  47 Again the kingdom of heaven is like to a net cast into the sea, and gathering together of all kind of fishes.  48 Which, when it was filled, they drew out, and sitting by the shore, they chose out the good into vessels, but the bad they cast forth.  49 So shall it be at the end of the world. The angels shall go out, and shall separate the wicked from among the just.  50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  51 Have ye understood all these things? They say to him: Yes.  52 He said unto them: Therefore every scribe instructed in the kingdom of heaven, is like to a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure new things and old.

WHERE WE ARE

WHAT THE CHURCH SAYS

A VOICE THAT GOT THERE FIRST

FORGE — THE MEETING

Run the room.

The fixed elements are Prayer, the Word, and Check-Ins. Everything else flexes. Times below are the two-hour shape — adjust your hacks to the hour you meet.

1 · ARRIVE15 MIN

Open fellowship and getting caught up. Drinks, greetings, light banter. Nobody looks left out. Everyone has a seat.

FOR THE MAN HOLDING THE ROOM

If men are talking, let it run — do not interrupt real conversation to start the “programme.” If a man is quiet, go get him: How are you doing? What’s new? And introduce the newcomer: Have you met so-and-so?

2 · WELCOME & VISION CAST5 MIN

Open with the prayer to the Holy Spirit. Then say what tonight is for — short, sweet, deep — and lay out the working agreements.

LINES THAT LAND

Inferno is an apostolate of friendship. The Pledge says what we are about: Prayer, Friendship, Evangelization. John 1:1 — we are here to encounter God through His Word, and to get ourselves and our families to heaven. Tonight: prayerful Lectio, check in with each other, and one micro-challenge we give ourselves.

3 · QUICK INTRODUCTIONS10 MIN

Nobody leaves a complete stranger. Under a minute each.

FOR THE MAN HOLDING THE ROOM

Give the instruction, then model it yourself first. If there are newcomers, cover the basics — name, married or not, how many kids and their ages, home parish, what you do.

4 · PSALMS IN CANON5 MIN

Pray the psalm back and forth. This is the door from free chat into prayer.

FOR THE MAN HOLDING THE ROOM

Split the room in half with a strong reader on each side, and say plainly who goes first.

If you have twelve or more men, split into two groups here — a leader with each — and tell them to come back for the close.

5 · LECTIO DIVINA40 MIN

Divine reading. Two men read this Sunday’s Gospel aloud. Then three minutes of silence — it is prayer, so the silence is sacred, not awkward. Break it with one question:

What jumped out to you?

FOR THE MAN HOLDING THE ROOM

Pick your two readers before you start, and tell the room the silence is coming so nobody panics in it. When men comment, keep it on the ground — do not be so heavenly minded you are no earthly good. Relate it to a life.

IF THE ROOM GOES QUIET, SIX TO REACH FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 2

Back-pocket only. The Gospel leads; these are for when it stalls.

6 · CHECK-IN & MICRO-CHALLENGE30 MIN

To be known and loved as we really are. Give the room a format — High, Low, Grow: what is going well, what is not, and what is the next step the Holy Spirit is asking of you.

OR CHECK IN ON THE PLEDGE

Pray 30 — how is daily prayer going?

Meet 3 — are you getting intentional time with brothers?

Invite 3 — who are you praying for and inviting out?

FOR THE MAN HOLDING THE ROOM

Be authentic and go first — the room will only go as deep as you did. Name your own low before you ask for theirs.

If you split earlier, bring the groups back together now.

7 · INTERCESSIONS & CLOSE15 MIN

Final prayer requests, what is coming up, closing prayer. Intercede for each other out loud. End on time, and give them something to look forward to.

COMING UP — READ THESE OUT
FOR THE MAN HOLDING THE ROOM

Ask the men to pray their own requests out loud, and model it first: “For my mom, that her treatment would go well — we pray to the Lord.” Then the room answers: Lord, hear our prayer.

CHARGE — OUT THE DOOR

One act. Seven days. Yes or no.

CHARGE: LOCKED IN

The week’s one act, every time he checks the time.

IT ALL STARTS WITH PRAYER

PRAYER

Inferno builds men of prayer — men committed to daily conversation and contemplation with the God of the universe.

It is the first of the three pillars, before friendship and before evangelization, because the other two run dry without it. It is also the one weapon you already have on you, right now, that no one can take.

The Inferno Pledge asks three things of a man, every month of the year:

PRAY — ten, twenty or thirty minutes, every day.

MEET — one bro, one Christ-centred conversation, every month.

INVITE — one man to a Christian gathering, every month.

Humility, authentic masculinity and discipline are the virtues underneath all three.

Latin for divine reading. Fifteen minutes. This is how Inferno prays Scripture, alone and at the table.

This is not study. You are not mining the text for information or getting ready to have an opinion about it. You are letting God say one thing to you today, and then answering Him.

1LECTIO — READ

Read the passage slowly, out loud if you can. Then read it again. Do not rush to make it mean something.

2MEDITATIO — STAY

One word or line will catch. Stay on it. Turn it over. Why that one, today, for you? Do not go hunting for a better one.

3ORATIO — ANSWER

Now talk back. Plainly, in your own words, about your own life. This is the part most men skip, and it is the part that makes it prayer instead of reading.

4CONTEMPLATIO — REST

Stop talking. Sit in it. Silence is not dead air — it is the part where He gets a word in. Give it three minutes before you decide nothing is happening.

5ACTIO — CARRY IT

Walk out with one thing. Not a feeling — an act. That is the whole point of the CHARGE at the end of a COR meeting.

AT THE TABLE

When your COR prays it together: two men read the passage aloud, then the room sits in silence for three full minutes. Tell them it is coming so nobody panics in it — silence is sacred, not awkward. Break it with one question: What jumped out to you?

And keep it on the ground. Do not be so heavenly minded you are no earthly good.

Amen.

“Pray without ceasing.”

– 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17

“Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness to pray.”

– LUKE 5:16

“This spirit does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

– MATTHEW 17:21

“I humble my soul with fasting.”

– PSALM 69:10

WHEN YOU MISS A DAY

From the Pledge, in Inferno’s own words: do not make this an idol, a box to check, nor beat yourself up with shame or despair if you fall short. If you fall, be encouraged by the fall of Christ — and lean on your brothers, the way He leaned on Simon of Cyrene, to help you get back up.

PRAY FOR EACH OTHER

Inferno has a prayer team. Send yours — for you, your wife, your kids, a man you are carrying — and men you have never met will pray for it.

SEND A PRAYER REQUEST

“Consume my heart with that burning fire with which Your Heart is ever inflamed.”

– ST. JOHN HENRY NEWMAN

His motto: Cor ad Cor loquitur — heart speaks to heart. COR is Latin for heart, and the root of courage.

T4 STEP 1

PRAY FIRST

It all starts with prayer — that is Inferno’s first pillar, not a nicety. Take it to the Sacred Heart and ask Him for three names. Write down the men He gives you.

STEP 2

GET YOUR THREE

You do not need twelve men. You need three brothers — that is the CLAN rung of the ladder, and every COR on the Front Range started there. Text the three names tonight. Say it plain: a table, once a week, for men who want to be saints.

STEP 3

CALL IT IN

Email mission@infernomen.com with the subject line “Inferno COR Group”. Inferno will put a seasoned COR leader alongside you for your first weeks — you are not inventing this alone.

STEP 4

SET THE TABLE

Pick a rhythm the standing tables already prove out: weekly or every other week, Tuesday or Thursday evening, Friday or Saturday morning. A parish hall, a kitchen, a garage. Sixty to ninety minutes. Same time, same place — consistency is what makes it a table and not an event.

STEP 5

KEEP IT C-O-R

Christ Centered — and Confidential: what is said at the table stays at the table, and that line is load-bearing. Orante — it is prayed, not just discussed. Relational — brothers, not attendance. Hold those three and the rest can flex.

T5 STEP 6

RUN THE FIRST MEETING OFF THIS APP

Open COR MEETING and run it top to bottom. FUEL is what the men read before they walk in. FORGE is the room itself — arrive, vision cast, introductions, psalms in canon, Lectio, check-in, intercessions — with leader mode open for the technique behind each stage. CHARGE is the one act every man carries out the door. The app holds the table up until the table holds itself — then grow toward twelve, and when you pass twelve, plant the next one. That is the 72.

T4The name Inferno refers to the unquenchable fire of The Holy Spirit that grows and spreads in the form of love, passion, and fearless dedication to God.

We are a band of brothers building community and leading our families to sainthood; shoulder to shoulder.

We are not another Program — This is Your Invitation Into A Battle Worth Fighting.

PRAYER — it all starts with prayer.

FRIENDSHIP — the arena for good news.

EVANGELIZATION — not optional. Missional.

A COR is not a program you attend. It is a table you set — same men, same hour, same room, week after week, until the men around it would notice if you were missing.

You do not need twelve. Start with three. Christ Centered and Confidential, Orante, Relational — hold those and the rest can flex.

THE PALLBEARERS

“Don’t wait till you die to have your bros carry you.”

Six men carry a casket. Ask yourself, plainly, whether you could name six who would carry yours — and who would be honoured to. Most men can name two or three. That gap is not a verdict on you. It is your mission for the next year.

Nothing to fill in here. Carry the question, not a checklist — then go set the table.

2017 — Four men, a basement, lectio divina. The first COR.

2018 — 110 men at the first gathering.

2019 — Springs Afire. 340 men.

2022 — REBEL fills the Antlers. 600 men.

2025 — Sold out, 1,200 men and a waitlist. We outgrew the building.

2026 — The Broadmoor. 4,000 men. Bring your three.

AUTHENTICITY

Humility. Vulnerability. Confidentiality.

FRIENDSHIP

Radical hospitality. Accompaniment. Openness. Empathy.

COURAGE

Toughness. Discipleship demands discipline.
